Today we’re kicking off a regular ProCamera Spotlight feature highlighting talented photographers who are using ProCamera<\/a> as part of their creative process.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The first featured photographer is Australian based Gurveer Suri. \u00a0 I found Suri’s work looking through the #ProCamera hashtag on Instagram. I was immediately drawn to his impressive\u00a0aerial\u00a0imagery, showing the rich colours and textures of regional Australia.<\/p>\n

Suri was kind enough to talk to us about his work and why he uses ProCamera.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Q | Tell us a little bit about yourself?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was born in India but I moved to Singapore, lived there for the past six years and now I’m in Ballarat, Australia. I have been training to be a pilot since August this year and I have flown around 74 hours and got a few 100 more to go.<\/p>\n

\"gurveer<\/a><\/p>\n

Q | Why have you chosen to use ProCamera for your\u00a0aerial photography?\u00a0Are there any features that help with this type of photography?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

I first came across ProCamera when I was in Singapore. The app gives me control over certain aspects that the normal camera in the iPhone 4 doesn’t, such as Expert Mode and Anti-shake which I feel in aerial photography are the best as I won’t have to worry about my picture being in focus for the area I’m trying to capture.<\/p>\n

So when I’m flying I am just simply able to point and with a few taps I am able to get what I want which is something I really love about this app. The editing features are pretty good\u00a0as well\u00a0because usually I just use brightness and contrast as my editing tools which the editing section gives decent control of.<\/p>\n

Q | Can you share a recent favourite photo and tell us how you took it and why you like it?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The picture above is of Melbourne city from 1,500ft departing from Essendon airport. I love this picture because, firstly it’s come out in great detail, secondly it not only did capture the city skyline but the mountain range in the backdrop which I personally feel is great for an iPhone 4 camera.<\/p>\n
