For our second ProCamera Spotlight feature we’re highlighting the amazing work of travel blogger and photographer Jen Pollack Bianco.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jen Pollack Bianco is one of the most well-travelled people on the net, jetting all around the world for her blog My Life’s a Trip<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As part of the blog, she shares tips on travel photography, including mobile photography. \u00a0Jen was kind enough to talk to us about her travels, her beautiful images from\u00a0Myanmar\u00a0and why she uses ProCamera<\/a> when shooting with the iPhone.<\/p>\n

Q | Tell us a little bit about yourself?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m a Los Angeles-based travel writer and photographer, but I consider myself to be a citizen of the world. Travel and photography have been lifelong passions for me. My Life\u2019s A Trip<\/a> is a multi-media travel diary I started with the intent of it being a modern-day book of travel postcards to share my adventures to a larger audience than just my family and friends. It\u2019s grown into an award-winning luxury travel site and my mobile photography has helped with that.<\/p>\n

\"Jen<\/a><\/p>\n

Q | Why do you use ProCamera as part of your travel photography? Are there any features that help with this type of photography?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Expert Mode and Fullscreen Trigger are both key to my work. I\u2019m often handling more than one camera at a time, and with Expert Mode on, I can easily pick my focus and exposure points using one hand. Shooting with ProCamera is also discreet and allows me to get quality images that require very little adjustment. Getting the image right during the capture makes my job much easier when I want to shoot and share something via social media.<\/p>\n

\"Jen<\/a><\/p>\n

A key part of my blog is my Photo Per Day<\/a> feature I call \u201cvirtualvacay.\u201d When I\u2019m traveling, I love being able to share something\u00a0I’ve\u00a0just shot. A lot of those images are captured with ProCamera. I also like that I can copyright the images and geotag them in the Advanced Options.<\/p>\n

Q | Can you share a favourite photo from your Burma series and tell us how you took it and why you like it?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

I absolutely loved taking the pictures at the Yangon Central Railway Terminal while waiting to take the Circular Railway, a local commuter train. Myanmar has only recently opened up to visitors, and the locals are very friendly and also somewhat amazed that non-locals would want to see this side of everyday life. While waiting for my train, I got some great portraits.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

My favorite is the image of two young Muslim boys hanging out the window. They stood out a bit in a country filled with Buddhists. They had such great faces and friendly yet piercing eyes, and they were perfectly framed in the windows of the old train car. Using ProCamera I was able to capture the moment, and share a friendly smile with them as their train slowed down and pulled through the station. It helped that I could maintain eye contact with them without blocking my face, as I would have with my DSLR.<\/p>\n
